The book " How Sugar Changed the World" by Marc Aronson and Mariana Budhos is the meaning of how the cost of sugar, slavery , and freedom. This book is also a recap of slavery, along with how the slaves were treated and unheard.
In " How Sugar Changed the World" sugar used to be a way to figure out how if you were rich or poor. The richer people could afford the sugar because it was considered as a delicacy. They would trade champagne and cinnamon sticks for sugar in Italy and still sugar isn't equivalent to champagne and cinnamon sticks. They would sell sugar for very little in trade but would sell it for unreasonable prices in marketplaces, they would make sure that the people in there hometown is seperated in a certain way that the richer get the sugar and the more poor people would have to work for it. When Christopher Columbus found Hispanola which was the first place her found, he planted sugar there and people would start coming and getting the sugar from there. There was something called the Sugar Rush where people would go to Hispanola and they would try there hardest to get all the sugar that they could. In New York City there is a street called Beekman Street and it is called that because there is a store and the owners name is Mr. Beekman. There was a lot about how slaves were not seen or heard. The slaves wanted to change that and make sure that there voices are heard but them doing that would be beaten or they would be killed. In conclusion the book " How Sugar Changed the World" is about how our time now is not about the history that was made then it is more about how it being made now and we need to make sure that a lot of that our society doesn't know what our ancestors felt but we need to . vHarrison Bergeron " by Kurt Vonnegut Jr. is about how society is now all equal and "fair".It is the year 2081 and thanks to the 211-213th amendments to the constitution, they now have Handicapper Generals that "handicap" people to dumb them down or make them uglier than they actually are. It's April and George and Hazel Bergeron's son has been taken away by the H.G. . Hazel being not as smart as George does not have any mental handicaps, George has a radio in his ear and every few seconds there is a sound to make his thoughts scattered so he can't think things through all the way. We are now introduced to Diana Moon Glampers the head Handicapper General, Hazel thinks that having forty-seven pounds of bird-shot on George's shoulders is unfair and he should be able to take out some of that weight.George and Hazel are watching television and there is an emergency report about Harrison Bergeron ; their son, has escaped from prison and is planning to overthrow the government. They hear loud stomps in the background which they knew as Harrison's footsteps.Harrison is the epitome of different, he has the looks, he has the smarts, and to add on top of all that he's seven feet tall and he is only 14. Harrison Bergeron is in the middle of everyone and is saying things like "Bow before me" and having them kneel down to him, Harrison is the "Emporer" and needs an empress so he has a ballerina become his empress. They are later shot by Diana Moon Glampers. Hazel see's it happen on television but later forgets because the television is cut off. Society shouldn't try to make you equal, Instead of society worshipping our differences instead they are destroying them yet the thing that makes us equal are our differences, yet should be celebrated, not destroyed.

I has strange impulse of just wanting to hold my dog ,just wanting to hold him with my arms, the room was very dismal and looking at all the eyes around me and then a red haired lady with a very solemn look on her face with some kind of abrupt look on her face. She embedded her hand onto mine and has a sarcastic look on her face and started talking and couldn't stop cajoling me to cremate puffers (my dog's name) I yelled and ceased it from happening and made the unwanted decision of burying my dog.
